Cometworks LLC ("Cometworks", "we") builds websites and phone, scheduling and messaging systems for small businesses. This policy explains what we collect on cometworks.app and through the services we operate, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@cometworks.app.
What we collect
- Booking a call. The name, email address, phone number and notes you enter when you book a call with us. The booking page is provided by Cal.com, which processes those details under its own privacy policy.
- Calls and texts with us. If you call or text a Cometworks number, we keep the number you used, the time, and the content of the message or a summary of the call.
- Site usage. We record how the site is used — pages, time on page, taps, and a replay of what was on screen — through a service we operate on our own domain. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and never records what you type. The service is hosted in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension.
- Client services. When a business uses a Cometworks line, we process its customers' names, phone numbers and appointment details on that business's behalf, to send the confirmations, reminders and review requests the business has chosen. Those customers should read the business's own privacy notice; every message we send carries STOP.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and schedule the call you asked for.
- To provide, operate and support the services a client has purchased.
- To keep records we are legally required to keep, and to protect the security of our systems.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
SMS / text messaging
You opt in to text messages by texting a Cometworks number first, or by giving us your mobile number and asking for texts when you book or take a call with us. By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Cometworks LLC at the number you provide. Messages relate to your enquiry and to the services you use: replies, scheduling and reminders for your call, and, for business clients, notifications from your Cometworks line about customer requests and appointments. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time; you will receive one confirmation and nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@cometworks.app.
Mobile information will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Sharing with subcontractors who provide support services to us, such as messaging delivery and customer service, is permitted for that purpose only.
Who we share it with
Service providers that process data for us under contract, only to run the service: messaging and voice delivery (Twilio), call scheduling (Cal.com), hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare), and email. Otherwise we share personal information only when the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: while we correspond with you and for up to two years afterwards.
- Call and message records: twelve months, unless a client agreement or the law requires longer.
- Opt-out records: kept indefinitely so that we honour them.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@cometworks.app. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under the GDPR and may also complain to their supervisory authority; California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA. We answer within thirty days.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
When this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Material changes are announced on this page.
